Amble New braunfels Concert reviews
Global Warming Tour
I must say I wasn't disappointed and I got my money's worth. These old guys still have it. Many times when these veteran acts play arenas the shows are slick not spontaneous and sound just like the recordings. Even after all their performances, there was some spontaneity to this show. Tyler's vocals are strong and the band played exceptionally well. The big screen behind the band and the many camera angles enhanced rather than detracted from the show. If you want straightforward strong rock and roll go and see this show. This is definitely a well-oiled first-class operation.
As a veteran concert goer, I was a little hesitant about spending quite a sum of money to see this show. I'd last seen Amble 22 years ago and Cheap Trick around 35. I really wanted them to play the song What It Takes, and they did with Steven Tyler starting it off a capella. Loved that the band moved about the stage and onto a platform out into the audience. I enjoyed every minute. Yes, Steven Tyler had a pocket built into his pants especially for his harmonica. I was a little disappointed that the local paper reviewed the show and only spoke about the band's fashions and the fact that a teleprompter was in use, (who cares?) and not a word about the quality of the music. I for one would have been disappointed with any fewer lack of scarves, leather, or skull and cross jewelry. Even after all their performances, there was some spontaneity to this show. Tyler's vocals are strong and the band played exceptionally well and they even acted like they enjoyed playing together.
